After having worked for Oracle and Citibank, Naoyuki Honda participated in the management of the Backs Group, retail support outsourcing for business-to-consumer (B2C) companies, as the executive managing director for the management strategy, IR, and IT strategy. He led the company to be listed on JASDAQ in 2001 and boosted their sales from 1.5 billion to 10 billion yen and their market capital from 2 billion to 50 billion yen .

Today he conducts Investment and Consultation enterprise for venture companies in Japan and in the U.S.A., and at the same time he provides advice on the leverage management for achieving greater results with minimum efforts.

He holds appointments as the external director and advisor across eight different companies, including public-listed ones, within the areas of accounting consulting and outsourcing business, financial education for private clients, engineering outsourcing business, restaurant business, triathlon related business, and lifestyle consulting business.

Based in Tokyo and Hawaii, he enjoys his life spending six months of the year in Hawaii.

Including the bestselling Leverage Series, he has published 43 books, with a total of 2,500,000 copies in print. His books have wide variety of topics, such as management skills, personal branding, lifestyles, reading skills, time management, thinking methods, networking skills, How to Use MAC, trainings, life in Hawaii, books for procrastinators and lazy people, and novels.

His books have been translated and published in South Korea, Taiwan and China.

He has translated various books, including Brand Called You, Focal Point, and so on.

He also produces writers, and their books have sold over 1,500,000 copies. All of them have become bestsellers.

He holds the Japan Sommelier Association Wine Advisor qualification and teaches a wine course in Academie du Vin, the largest wine school in Japan.

Through JustGiving, a fundraising site for collecting money for charity by running races, he participated in the IRONMAN Triathlon Western Australia on December the 5th, 2010, and crossed the finish line at 11.55.09.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Meiji University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
